Sumario: | In the 21st century, which is called the communication age, technology and internet development have accelerated. These developments have greatly influenced, developed and transformed the individual and society. Developments have changed the way the individual communicates, his life and social outlook. While transforming the world into a smaller structure, it also brought innovations in the perspective of social events.
Today, while communication styles continue to develop in line with the opportunities offered, individuals' participation in social events and reaction methods are also changing. Nowadays, when social media is in its golden age, people participate and react to social events from this channel.
This study aims to reveal the solidarity phenomenon in social media after Özgecan Aslan's murder. Mixed method was used in the study. An online survey was applied to 500 people using Facebook and the Facebook account opened in the name of Özgecan Aslan was analyzed by content analysis technique. As a result, it was determined that after the murder of Özgecan Aslan, solidarity took place on social media, and reactions and demands against the incident were expressed through social media. |
