Study of Chromium Effect on Structure and Wear-Resisting Properties of Complex Alloyed Brass

The microstructure of CuZnMnAlSiNiCr complex alloyed brass was examined. The effect of various chromium content in the range from 0.00 to 0.33 wt.% on the composition and morphology of intermetallic compounds was established, and the amount of chromium-based intermetallic compounds was estimated. Mi...

Description
Summary:The microstructure of CuZnMnAlSiNiCr complex alloyed brass was examined. The effect of various chromium content in the range from 0.00 to 0.33 wt.% on the composition and morphology of intermetallic compounds was established, and the amount of chromium-based intermetallic compounds was estimated. Microhardness of intermetallic compounds of various morphology was determined. The effect of chromium content on wear rate of brass samples was estimated. The range of chromium content at which samples wear rate is minimal was estimated.
