Abdulhamit, II. It is a remarkable work in terms of addressing the social life, politics and culture of The Constitutional and Armistice periods. The novel covers the period from 1877, when 93 War took place, to 1922, when the National Struggle took place. The wars, political uncertainties and administrative problems during this period have deeply shaken social and political life. The weakness, incompetence, irresponsibility, and vested interests of those who run the country have driven the individual, society and the state into inevitable corruption. The phenomenon of corruption, which has the meanings of losing the good qualities in its essence with some external factors, becoming degenerate and moving away from its essence, is one of the main themes of the novel “Three Istanbul”. In the novel, The life line of Adnan, the protagonist of the work, is followed, and the personalities around him, the environment in which Adnan is engaged in dialogue, and the people, are told in plenty of detail in order to reach a conclusion about the entire social life space. In order to make corruption more apparent in the novel, Mithat Cemal has created a large part of the personal cast of negative characters. All three periods pass around three different hosts. The novel's protagonists change from period to period to different identities. The novel has a large cast of individuals consisting of traitors, cosmopolitans, informants, jurnalists, bribes, vested interests, depraved, rioters, flattery, prostitutes, parasites, thieves.
