Sumario:Environmental sustainability, despite being a newly developed concept, has won global importance. Taking under consideration the expansion of this debate, this paper investigates some political dimen- sions involved in sustainable actions. For this, we used as a guide the concept of governmentality, elaborated by the philosopher Michel Foucault, seeking articulate it to the government policies for the preservation of the environment. In the empirical part, we sought to study the involvement of social agents that, acting at the local level, begin to expose their concern with nature, spreading conservation practices on a micro dimension. For this, this research, of qualitative basis, collected testimonials about the oral history of a punk band that shows in your music production, environmental issues that plague our country. As a partial conclusion, it can be said that the rapprochement between academic knowledge and everyday knowledge is drawn as a challenge, but also as an opportunity to produce transformative practices on a problem which is configured as urgent and that mobilizes the different instances of our society.
