Unlike the generally accepted dynamo our model provides an obvious source of energy which is a phase transition and the thermal, mechanical and electrical energy released during it. The latter generates a double electric layer which rotation gives rise to the initial dipole field. Changing its direction the phase transition causes a reversal of the magnetic field.
