Sumario: | Sports management, which is a part of the public administration, has been governed by many ruling political parties since the establishment of Republic of Turkey. In Turkey, during the rule of the first decade of Justice and Development Party, three goverments have been formed. During this period, Abdullah Gül became president for once while Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was president for two times. Gül's government came into power in 2002 and served for four months. Erdoğan's first goverment was formed in 14 March 2003 and second one was formed in 2007. In this project, it is aimed to identify the developments on sports management of Justice and Development Party goverments' first decade. For this identification, numerical data and developments occurring in legislation were searched, content analysis and situation analysis on sports managment were made for the Justice and Development Party goverments' period. Regarding numerical data, sports facilities, sportsman and sportswoman, sports organizations, clubs, appropriations allocated for sports from the budget , and regarding legislation, constitution, laws, rules and regulations are discussed. Numerically in parallel with the significant improvements in sports management, there were prominent developments especially regarding the quality of sports facilties. As for legislation, 17.03.2011 dated and 6214/1 numbered additional paragraph has been added to the 59th article of the Constitution. According to 03.06.2011 dated and 638 numbered statutory decree and 08.06.2011 dated 27958 numbered repeated official newspaper, The Ministry of Youth and Sports was established and 4 laws and 77 regulations were passed one of which was temporary. Justice and Development Party goverments, while trying to adapt to developments of age in all areas of quality, they also has tried to ensure compliance regarding sports management in Turkey. For this reason, The Ministry of Youth and Sports was established and sports management has been tried to be governed under the authority and responsibility of a sovereign ministry.
