The researchers used the comparative descriptive approach, the research population consisted of (84) players who practise basketball in Iraq’s clubs, they are classified as Elite class and distributed among (7) clubs in Iraq. The research sample consisted of (72) players, distributed among (6) of these clubs that qualified for the Final rounds of Youth Basketball League. The researchers relied on using a ready-made questionnaire prepared by (Mahmoud Al-Haliq Al-Khasawneh, 2005), after modifying it and verifying its sincerity and reliability. The data was statistically processed using the mean, standard deviation and mono-variance analysis. The results show that there are many obstacles facing youth basketball training in sports clubs and in different axes, such as that technical, psychological, social, capabilities and requirements, and relationships with the coach. It been found that there are no significant differences in the obstacles due to the variables: age, club, and training age.
