Furthermore, the paperdemonstrate how these microfinance initiatives are able to reach the poorest people The methodologyconsisted of a survey in 26 BCDs in this region (between July-September 2012). These results supportthe BCDs as appropriate social technologies to a public policy of solidarity finance that aims to reachthe poorest people. Their collective management structures and the methodology for granting andcollection of loans (based on proximity relations) seem more appropriate for overcoming the formaland institutional barriers rather than traditional banks for lending money to low-income population.However, the reality presented for the BCDs indicate difficulties that can compromise the fullness ofthe actions of these organizations in the territories. The main difficulty is the formation of the creditfund that forces them to significantly rationing credit concessions.
