Description
Résumé:This article reviews and discusses the remote sensing (RS) techniques and geographic information systems (GIS), as well as the geomorphological knowledge associated to spatialiy distributed hydrological modeling. The discussian aliowed to defined four groups which integrate the different Remate Sensing (RS) techniques, Geographic lnformation systems (GIS) and the geomorphological knowledge oriented to understand the environrnental implications of land degradation and resource rnanagement, especially in developing countries. Groups inciude: a) hydrological modeling and GIS; b) RS and hydrological models; hydrological modeling, RS and GIS; and d) integration of the geornorphological knowledge. RS and GIS application to hydrological modeiling.
