Sumario:The emphasis for healty eating has increased due to the increasing amount of obesity problem. In the same manner, the teachers’ role has changed. In the study, it was aimed to determine pre-service teachers’ choices of their dietaries. The study was designed using non-experimental qualitative method and case study was planned as an qualitative approach. The study was administered to 28 pre-service teachers from 3rd grade in İstanbul. The data were collected by using 4 open ended questionnaires and 6 open ended interview questions. The data were interpreted by using open coding method. The results of the study showed that the participants paid attention to expiration date, calories, ingredients and freshness. Also, the number of students that examined nutritional value tables and those who didn’t were almost the same. The results from the interviews revealed students tended to consider social factors and usually acted according to their trational habits. The suggestions were made according to the results of the study.
