Sumario: | This work approaches the problematic of agroecological conversion, from the reflexive
analisys of the dominant aspects in the current literature. Specifically, the study aims to
analyze the main obstacles to the process of agroecological conversion of agriculture, as well
as delineating situations in which the agroecological systems of production constitute in
economic alternative from the farmers. The analysis made, evidences that, despite the
expansion tried in the last times, the agroecological production continues to occupy a less
significant place in the farming and agrofood scene world-wide. The series of obstacles and
difficulties that are front of an ample process of conversion of agriculture result of the
current insufficience of scientific and technological knowledge, as well as the magnitude and
complexity of the technical, socioeconomic and institucional transformations necessary to
the accomplishment of a process of this nature. What it finishes relatively striking in the lack
of economic competitiveness them agroecological systems to the forms of production
currently practised, especially modern agriculture. It was concluded on the relevancy of
detailed analyses of experiences of conventional agriculture conversion for a ecological
base, with sights to understand the environmental, socioeconomic, technological and
institucional conditions under which had emerged and had developed such agroecological
systems of production. |
