Family members, favorite heroes and events they live in frequently take place in paintings of children. War has become a comprehensive and dynamic concept that exists with humanity and varies throughout history, differentiating in method and practice. The rule of law, which is the normative cause of political decisions, stipulates that disputes should be resolved through peaceful means in the measure of rights and justice, without resorting to bullying. But when people and states can not negotiate, nations and leaders come up against each other. The war is blood and tears for all, whatever it is done for, a human tragedy. In this point of view, the aim of this paper is to try to analyze the level of impact of the war in terms of “war” paintings of Syrian children who left their countries and came to Turkey. In this research, image evaluation method which is a projective method is used as qualitative research techniques. The study group of the research consists of twelve Syrian children aged between 7-10 years who are students of Elazığ İsmet Paşa Primary School. The research data was collected with the “war” paintings of children; was evaluated by using the “Painting Evaluation Scale”. As a result of this research, it was seen that war moments, bomb-throwing planes, guns, rifles and hot war images took place in the paintings of these children. These images are the most important evidence that primarily children are affected by war; children, women, innocent people should be kept away from the destruction of wars, problems between countries and civil wars must be resolved within the framework of humanitarian measures without wars.Yelda USALSerap BUYURGANFırat Universityarticlewarrefugeechildren paintingslinear developmentshematic periodSocial SciencesHSocial sciences (General)H1-99DEENFRTRJournal of Academic Social Science Studies , Vol 11, Iss 68, Pp 41-54 (2019) |
