After years of denying that Germany, as a country that is a destination of migration, needs a consistent migration policy, at the beginning of the 21st century the situation in that matter started to change. Since then, the rules for granting citizenship have been modified and the foundations of immigration policy and policies for integrating immigrants into the host society have been developed. The subject of the article are integration courses – a basic tool of this policy.
