Methods: We studied blood indices and types of anemia in these patients at Shahid Beheshti hospital in Babol. This is a retrospective study on 61 patients. Findings: According to the findings, 90.2% of the patients had hemoglobin levels lower than 10 g/dl. Of these, 87.3% were normocytic, 10.9% microcytic and 1.8% macrocytic. Conclusion: It should be noted that 47.5% of total patients had Hb levels of 8 g/dl. As the odds of death in such patients (Hb of 8 g/dl) is shown to be increasing, the factors that improve anemia in patients on hemodialysis should be evaluated by prospective studies.H AlaoddoleiF SadighianBabol University of Medical Sciencesarticleanemiahemodialysischronic renal failuremicrocyticmacrocyticMedicineRMedicine (General)R5-920ENFAMajallah-i Dānishgāh-i ̒Ulūm-i Pizishkī-i Bābul, Vol 1, Iss 2, Pp 43-46 (1999)
