Sumario:Nowadays, paralel with the development of Turkish museums, utilizing digital technologies in the museum space is widely recognized. Digital technology has changed museum collection policy. Instead of preserving traditional object collection in the museums, people can easily access to the virtual museums that preserve knowledge, images as well as digitalized objects in the unbounded museum space. Using new technology multimedia devices in order to reach wide-range audiences opens up a new path in museum exhibitions. Newtechnique that are used in tempoarary exhibitions in virtual museums presents cultural heritage and art in a diferent perspective. Today, all museum's collections are regarded as the common heritage of human kind. For this reason, many of the international museums tend to reach international audience with virtual collections and exhibitions. The need for the new venue where all museum visitors can easily visit gallery space is only possible to digitilized collections and virtual space. By the way museums realized uninterrupted communication with their visitors and provide information flow. The main purpose of this study is to analyze virtual museum as an educational institutions. The growing role of museums in international cultural colloborations, arrangements and innovations determine the effective role of virtual museums. In related to the modern museology, virtual museum has different slogans such as " museum without boundires," " 24-hour museum" and" open to artists from all generations" are introduced. In this study, following questions are asked in this manner. How do virtual museums design a new kind of communication between people with using digital technologies in collections as well as exhibition space? Do virtual museums change the meaning of post modern museology? Rethink representation and exhibitions, how do virtual museums communicate within different societies?
