ER-mitochondria contacts promote mtDNA nucleoids active transportation via mitochondrial dynamic tubulation
Mitochondrial DNA is found in nucleoids, which are distributed throughout the mitochondrial network and are thought to be passively distributed. Here, the authors show that mitochondrial dynamic tubulation at ER-mitochondria contact sites actively transports nucleoids.
