Sumario:On May 20, 2015 the Decree-Law prohibiting the death of fighting bulls before the public during traditional bullfighting shows in Castilla y León was published in the Official Gazette of the region of Castilla y León. The publication of this Decree-Law has caused a great social debate on how traditional bullfighting shows, such as “Toro de la Vega”, which takes place every year in the Valladolid town of Tordesillas, will be affected. This comment analyses such Decree-Law without forgetting how we have come to this point, which are the most innovative aspects and which situations we may face from now on.
