Sumario:This paper examines the dynamics of meaning and action surrounding the living conditions of a group of 163 exiled people known as "sans-papiers" (undocumented migrants) using the concept of event. They have been living for ten years in an abandoned factory, where they are frozen. Our focus is on the question of meaning, and the challenge that goes along with it is to try to grasp what the meaning of this event and the scope of its sensitive implications for Education - how is consideration of the other and the social question constructed? Drawing from Romano’s (2018) theoretical approach in his book « l’évènement et le temps », the analysis of the intra-mondain events, which intersect and structure the individual and collective experiences of these exiled people, leads to an "event hermeneutics" that tends to account for a turning point in the order of meaning. All the data mobilized for this study were collected using inductive approaches (ethnographic interviews, field observations) during our doctoral research (2012-2017) on this field of investigation.
