The demand for standardization in this period aims to facilitate many design methods in order to speeding up the norm and order processes. With the establishment of the Bauhaus school, important contributions to art and architectural education have been made. During the persistence of Bauhaus education and even after Bauhaus, the understanding of modern architecture left influencing traces in architectural understanding. Norms that are reflected in Bauhaus education pretend specific regulations which are still part of our lives. This new regulations and even patents were important indications of standardization processes in the Bauhaus period. In order to reach the standard, methods such as typing and determined processes have been applied especially in housing production. The design of personalized living space is developed by determining personal needs in living units. In this context, minimal living spaces were created based on human scale. In the course of standardization and its reference to the modern living style, housing types have been described the transformation into a ´machine for living´ and further this typology is related to the concept of social housing. Apart from the Bauhaus school, architects such as Le Corbusier and Neufert contributed to the standardization of living spaces by developing norms based on the human scale.
