Sumario: | The purpose of this study was to investigate the High School of Fine Arts and Sport (HSFAS) graduates’ prior-learning on field of ear training. The study was carried out with HSFAS graduates (N=53) at Abant İzzet Baysal University in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 academic years. The data were collected through "Basic Music Theory Test", "Musical Writing (Dictation) Scale", "Performance Observation Form for Sight-singing" and "Personal Information Form". According to the results of the study, HSFAS graduates’ prior-learning of basic music theory, dictation and sight-singing dimensions were found significantly insufficient. It has (been) determined that the lower prior-learning is on dictation and prior-learning about the knowledge and skills of makam have been identified at the lowest level in the three subscales. |
