Propositions for safeguarding the funerary heritage in Juiz de Fora: The Cemetery of Nossa Senhora da Glória and the Cemetery of the Evangelical Community of Lutheran Confession.
Resumo: Este trabalho reflete o estudo sobre a preservação do patrimônio funerário em Juiz de Fora. O foco é uma análise comparativa entre os Cemitérios de Nossa Senhora da Glória e Cemitério da Comunidade Evangélica de Confissão Luterana de Juiz de Fora/MG. A análise retrata a instalação dos espaços destinados aos sepultamentos na cidade. Nesse contexto, veremos as transformações nos olhares e o desenvolvimento de estudos que possibilitam uma mudança no olhar sobre o espaço fúnebre, destacando o posicionamento do poder público em relação ao patrimônio cultural dos cemitérios, iniciada com a abertura de processos de tombamento relacionados ao Cemitério Municipal. Assim, a proposta tem por objetivo possibilitar o conhecimento e preservação ao espaço fúnebre, visando o acesso aos locais enquanto bem culturais, e também como bens de utilidade pública.

Abstract: This work reflects the study about the preservation of the funeral patrimony in Juiz de Fora. The focus is a comparative analysis between the Cemetery of Our Lady of Glory and Cemetery of the Evangelical Community of Lutheran Confession of Juiz de Fora / MG. The analysis depicts the installation of burial spaces in the city. In this context, we will see the changes in the eyes and the development of studies that allow a change in the look on the funeral space, highlighting the position of the public power in relation to the cultural heritage of cemeteries, started with the opening of tipping processes related to the Municipal Cemetery . Thus, the purpose of the proposal is to enable knowledge and preservation of the funeral space, aiming at accessing the places as cultural assets, as well as public utility goods.
