As a result of the generalization of existing approaches, the author's methodology was suggested, how to make a rating assessment of the level of food self-sufficiency in the regions of the Leningrad Region for basic types of food. The basis of the approach was analytical methods of mathematical and comparative analysis, it is planned to form the final rating.
