Sumario:The issue of competence approach to teaching is being discussed in Russian literature and stirs continuous interest. The article proposes to introduce the practice-oriented technology of training as a project method developed and tested by the author during a long period of time. The essence of the methodology is explained, on the basis of which students (bachelors and masters) are given an opportunity (supervised and assisted by the Professor and lecturer) to develop a project. A group of specialists in the field of finance who need training by this method is identified. Concrete recommendations concerning organization of project training on the subject ‘Fundamental Analysis’ are provided.
