Thus, it was possible to analyse with timeline the geographic characteristics of the new individual constituencies. Consequently, two research questions were formulated in our study. On the one hand, the aim of the study is to find out how the spatial support of the participants and the parties to the parliament on the constituency scale was reflected in the 2014 and 2018 figures. On the other hand, we want to find relations between the parties support and the different social indicators on the constituency scale. In the analysis, mathematical-statistical methods were applied and the party lists of the 2014 and 2018 Parliamentary Elections were compared with the database of the 2011 census. The results have shown the participation changes in constituency level and the electoral geographical patterns in Hungarian. Furthermore, the research has demonstrated the interrelations between the main social and economic indicators and the list support of the parties. The urban-rural cleavages that have become increasingly marked in the time period under consideration have developed, while for example, the religious structure less differentiates the votes.Vida, GyörgyKovalcsik, TamásPublikonarticleelectoral geographyparliamentary electionshungarian voting patternsstatistical methodsGeography.
