Sumario:Today’s use of texts in electronic media by means of computer technology in philology just like in other fields of science has given birth to a new research area on the one hand and has become an important means of re-reading of old texts, on the other hand. Applying computer devices provided new perspectives for researching incomplete compositions especially within the framework of modern roman. All the major literary works of Robert Musil as well as his literary legacy that emerged after his death are examined as a digitalization project model and these electronic texts’ contribution to philological studies is analyzed. Especially from the point of quantitative classification reading and analysis of such colossal compositions and works using computer devices is being emphasized here. Besides, readability of literary works in the new electronic book format as well as usability of electronic texts in foreign language is debated here. Text as a research object of the Literary Studies has undergone a two-dimensional transformation by courtesy of digitalization. New media as well as new context were thus gained on the first level of a reader’s perspective and new and/or revised opportunities were provided on the second level of a researcher’s and scientific viewpoint. These opportunities provide benefits to researchers and readers ranging from diachronic, comparative and multi-layered readings to the historical-critical transcriptions. In this manner, phenomenon of the revolutionary digitalisation of the text has made it possible to gain new perspectives on as well as re-examine texts of the authors of the past in all scientific areas.
