Sumario:Identification of the main factors, which are determining opportunities and major threats in the business environment in the border region. Methodology the article used mainly general logical methods of analysis and synthesis, generalization and modeling of the subject area. Results: There are many studies of both Russian and foreign scientists on the business environment study. At the same time, its analysis in the context of such an important factor as the border location of the territories was practically not considered, the methods and methods of its assessment are described in fragments. While this factor is essential and determines a number of key parameters for assessing the business environment of the region, some aspects of the analysis in which become insignificant, and others on the contrary – critical. The article presents the analysis of business environment development factors of border areas, assessment of foreign and Russian experience in this area, on the basis of which identified the main factors that determine the opportunities and major threats in the formation of a business unit in the border region. Practical implications the results of the study will be useful for researchers and specialists involved in the development of border regions, as well as innovation management, taking into account regional specifics.
