Sumario:Global world is a dynamic environment where changes happen extremely fast. An organization maintains its life within the social environment and try to adapt to the changes occurring in the inner and outer arena. Technology, economical and competition changes will require adaptation of existing organizational and management approaches. Like any other organization, the hospitals require constructive and powerful leaders that are aware of the challenges in order to maintain its existence, to be successful and adapt to the changes just like any business in a competitive environment. One of the fundamental factors that positively affect the job satisfaction, motivation and performance level of the hospital staff is the behaviors of leadership of the managers. The staff that is in the management has the power to create non ideal workplace where ideal or unhappiness is dominant for everyone. There are many scientific researches on the leader and leadership and most of these studies examined the leadership forms and special behaviors suitable for the leadership that can be affiliated with successful leadership. Understanding the results and nature of the non-functional, detrimental leadership becomes the center of interest in the scientific researchers conducted over the leader and leadership in recent years. In this study we will not discuss constructive leadership that can create value and positive performance, but focus on destructive leadership and especially toxic leaders and their negative effects on hospital employees that can be damaging and harmful for the Healthcare organizations.
