Subsequent careful examination of her X-ray images led to an MRI of her left knee, which revealed acute osteonecrotic changes. A following whole-body MRI examination demonstrated multifocal bony lesions. Bone marrow examination conclusively diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL).
