Dentro do estudo da canção, o historiador Marcos Napolitano lança as bases para uma análise que compreende tanto os mecanismos verbo-poéticos e os parâmetros musicais que na experiência estética da canção forma uma unidade. Além dessa dupla articulação proposta por Napolitano, pretende-se relacionar neste trabalho o disco alucinação a outras tipologias documentais, associando-os a temas da historiografia e a problemática de seu próprio tempo, como a contracultura nos anos 1960, os anos da repressão durante a ditadura civil-militar, a emergência de uma nova geração de artistas, a tentativa de uma proposta musical pós-tropicalista e a articulação entre o regional e o nacional presente nas canções do disco. Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze the album “Hallucination” by musician and composer Antônio Carlos Belchior, released in 1976 by the Polygram / Philips label, with ten compositions of his own. Within the study of the song, historian Marcos Napolitano lays the groundwork for an analysis that comprehends both the verb-poetic mechanisms and the musical parameters that form a unity in the aesthetic experience of the song. In addition to this double articulation proposed by Napolitano, the aim is to relate in this work the hallucination disc to other documentary typologies, associating them with themes of historiography and the problematic of his own time, such as counterculture in the 1960s, the years of repression during civil-military dictatorship, the emergence of a new generation of artists, the attempt of a post-tropicalist musical proposal and the articulation between the regional and the national present in the songs of the disc.
