Environmental DNA monitoring of oncogenic viral shedding and genomic profiling of sea turtle fibropapillomatosis reveals unusual viral dynamics
Farrell, Duffy and colleagues quantify the viral dynamics of the agent causing sea turtle fibropapillomatosis tumors. Environmental shedding and cellular dynamics are examined, demonstrating that temporal shedding dynamics and tumor burden are correlated.
