Because humans can only compromise and communicate through language. The language concept is used in the Qur’an in different meaning. Lisan concept has different meanings such as language, lugat, message, word, praise, letter, notify and talk. The lisan that is used in different ways in the Quran is the closest concept to the language. The language is used as a means of human language and language as a means of communication in the Quran. Apart from these two basic meanings, lisan is also used in meaning such as praise and declaration in the Quran. Different opinions have emerged in different societies about language, definition of language and its origin. The issue of the origin language has also become a curiosity in every society, and discussions have been made within this context. Some thinker difend that language is based on a social consensus and some thinker difend that source of language is a evolution. According to some thinkers language is a phenomenon revealed by people. The issue of the source of the language has been taken into consideration teaching names of Hz. Adam in the Qur’an. The basic debate about the origins of language in Islamic culture is the language has come to a conclusion with the teaching of God or the conciliation of people. The language concept and opinions about the source of language are discussed in this paper.
