The author mainly focused on Taszycki’s way of organizing the environment and planning team research on Polish names of people and places. It is justified to think that it was Taszycki, not so much with his own works in the field, but especially through selecting and educating the staff, who, to the greatest extent, determined the present form and research directions of this discipline in Poland.
