| Résumé: | Anatolia, which is an important intersection between Asia and Europe, has a special importance in terms of richness of its cultural assets. Recently, we have encountered many serious and irrepressible problems which threaten these assets. Even though there are many reasons causing these problems, the most important of these is the fact that adequate education in creating preservation awareness is not given in our country. Since the beginning of 20th century, preserving cultural heritage which has been at agenda at national and international level has become an area on which particularly UNESCO and Counsil of Europe, European Union and other organization focus. Various norms have been set and various methods have been developed towards preserving about this area. Today, museum education forms one of the effective methods in the modern world countries on creating preservation awareness.
