Sumario: | One of the important traditions of Islamic Turkish literature are commentary activities. These activities which started to be done on Arabic and Persian texts in the beginning were carried out on Turkish texts as well,with the dominant culture of the Ottoman Empire. Turkish tradition of commentary is generally seen as focused on religious-mystical texts. However, over time, commentaries were also made on non-religious texts, in which many texts such as divans, masnavis, and independent poems were commented on using the classical and modern methods. The oldest of the commentary texts belong to the sufis who lived in the 13th century. This study also focuses on a commentary taken in the 18th century. This commentary which was written on the poetry of “geldım” repeated word of Sünbül Sinan who is one of the sufis of the 17th century and founder of the Sünbüliye sect, is at the end of two copies of the in verse menaqıbname named Silsiletü’n-Nûr that explains the ranges of the Sünbüliye sect and the life and works of Seyyid Nureddin who is one of the important sheiks of this cult. This study consists of an introduction and three chapters. The concept of comment is emphasized in the introduction part, the information about the life and poems of Sünbül Sinan is given in the first part, the findings about commentary poem are explaned in the second part, the findings about commentary text are mentioned in the third part and the critical text of commentary is presented in the last section. With this work, it is aimed to introduce to the world of knowledge an unknown comment made on a poem, thus contribute to the researcher who is interested in sufi poetry commentaries. |
