Sumario: | Turkey day by day is becoming a country where students choose for education. In this process, more scientific studies are needed to develop policies and take necessary measures for foreign students coming to our country. The aim of this study is to examine the moderating role of spirituality in the relationship between religious tendency and spiritual well-being of foreign students. The descriptive survey research was designed in order to investigate the study patterns. Sample of the study constitutes 201 high school students who came to Turkey from different countries. Sampling was reached by snowball sampling method. Personal Information Form, Religious Tendency Scale, Spiritual Well-being Scale and Spirituality Scale were used for data collection. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20 statistical program. When the findings of the study were examined, there was a positive and high-level relationship between religious disposition; a positive and highly significant relationship between spirituality and spiritual well-being; a positive and moderate relationship was found between spiritual well-being and religious disposition. As a result of the regression analysis, it was concluded that spirituality was a mediating variable in the relationship between religious tendency and spiritual well-being. According to this finding, regardless of the religious beliefs of foreign students, spirituality is suggested to be considered as an important variable in the studies that will be carried out to improve their spiritual well-being. |
