The objective of this study was to determine if the Learning at Home strategy influences the achievement of civic competencies in the context of a pandemic. A non-experimental research design with a causal correlation level was used. The sample consisted of 110 students of Regular Basic Education, selected by casual non-probability sampling. Questionnaires were used for both variables; the first was the "Learning at home" strategy with twenty items on a Likert scale of 1 to 5 points, with an acceptable reliability value (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.85, 95% CI: 0.81 - 0.89) and the second, "Citizen Competencies" with twenty items on a Likert scale from 1 to 5 points, with an acceptable reliability value (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.82, 95% CI: 0.77 - 0.87). The results indicate that none of the estimated coefficients is significant, which means that the strategies "Learning at home" through "Radio," "Television," and "Web" do not significantly influence the "Citizen competencies" or their dimensions, respectively. Therefore, the Peruvian strategy "Learning at home" may not be the appropriate way to achieve students' citizenship skills because it is in its initial phase.

Keywords: Strategy; citizen competencies; computer-aided teaching; class environment; student behavior
Ana María Flores TitoHéctor Raúl Santa María RelaizaRoger Pedro Norabuena FigueroaAllison Jessica Brenis GarcíaTeresa Bautista FachoLuisa Isabel García IpanaqueUniversidad Central de VenezuelaarticleManagement.
