Sumario:In this study, the design of a metal stent which expands under the influence of a difference in hydraulic pressure is presented. Using the action of existing stents as a reference, the joint of the metal stent model is joined, to lock its own elastic force. The maximum energy storage formula was applied to determine if the joint could withstand the elastic force that is integral to the stent model. Simulations of the stent, under the influence of differences in hydraulic pressure, were performed. During simulation, the fluid pressure, the width of the joint of the stent, the angle of the pipe model, and some other parameters, were changed to determine their impact on the stent joint and to explore the differences.
