| Sumario: | Theoretical work aims to discuss the concept of efficiency in the context of the solidarity economy. Although the overall efficiency is considered as neutral, a-historical and a-political, in reality is a social construct, decided by each group and constituted in accordance with the objectives set. In the case of organizations in solidarity, we must consider not only the economic variables, but elements which involve political, social and cultural. Furthermore, it is necessary to deconstruct some myths surrounding solidarity organizations, putting in question the inefficiencies that often are cited due to their choice of a non-market logic and collecti vist. |
