Sumario:Nowadays design practices can contribute to the competitiveness of companies. The integration of these practices, the methods that characterise them and the imaginary that they convey, represent major evolutions in which innovation agencies play a central role. In this paper, I discuss these design and innovation practices as Creativity Consultancy. These guided practices appear to constitute a specific design and innovation culture marked by the domestication of creativity. The applied rationalization contrasts the practices of designers that are guided by intuition and implicit knowledge. I also describe design and innovation practices based on interviews with designers and innovation project owners, an online survey, and participative observations. Finally, I conclude by locating Creativity Consultancy in the field of tensions between its economic potential and its management challenges before pointing out emerging trends and projecting the identified implications further.
