Sumario:The article describes features in the evolution of the planning structure and building of the historical part of Samara city under the influence of the system fortifications of the XVIIIc. by cartographic materials. Key issues of land use within the boundaries of land plots from historical and cultural destination and its influence on the nearest territory have been analyzed. Special attention is given to the most common problems of the monuments and archaeological sites surveying exemplified by Samara fortress of the XVIII c. The authors recommended some approaches on recreational and investment potential improvement of land use and land planning in the area of archaeological sites, according to features of archaeological find, legal restrictions and specific regime of such land and monuments. The following methodical approaches were used: logical modeling, heuristic techniques, statistical techniques.
