Summary:In this study, universities in Turkey, was evaluated studied the piano on the various aspects of post-graduate studies. This purpose; identified distribution of where the years, universities, institutions and issues, working in the field of piano graduate (202), PhD (43) and proficiency in arts (31) thesis, with and without post-graduate programs at universities in the field of music YÖK (institution of higher education) was established since 1982. Piano, music education institutions play an important role. Undergraduate education, graduate education is continued allows you to make your own observations in the field of people on the road that leads investigativeness. In the research, were determined between the years of 1987-2012, 276 postgraduate studies. These studies have examined according to the years, Of 2010 with was found to be the most intense years in terms of post-graduate studies (30). On piano, studies have been performed 28 different university graduate. İn These universities at Gazi University where concluded 76 graduate study. 276 Postgraduate studies about piano made of 6 different institution. These institutes is educational sciences institute, institute of social sciences, natural sciences institute, institute of fine arts, music and performing arts institute and institute of medical sciences. İn these institutions, social sciences institute has taken first place with 96 post-graduate study. Finally, the post-graduate studies were examined according to their subjects. Graduate studies on this issue were conducted on 16 different topics. This thesis topics, education – teaching (36) composers (38) and trace - studies review (38) the most studied topics.
