Sumario: | The goal of this research is to examine visual design features of class-9 piano school book in fine arts high schools according to teachers' opinions. In the light of this research, the quality and functionality of aforementioned school book have been determined with regard to visual design features. This research is a descriptive field study. Related data has been obtained from a questionnaire, which was improved by the researcher and also contains criterion of visual design features, on the basis of research criteria in relation to aforementioned school book. The sample in this research includes 73 piano teachers, who have been selected randomly among total 25 fine arts high schools. According to results in this research, class-9 piano teachers in fine arts high schools have presented following opinions; visual elements in class-9 school book have middle-level sufficiency for supporting the information in such books, also they have middle-level sufficiency for permanency of such information; printing quality of visual elements have middle-level sufficiency for compatibility with students' developmental characteristics; the descriptions under visual elements have middle-level sufficiency; esthetic visual of elements in a page of the book has middle-level sufficiency; compatibility of font with Turkish language has middle-level sufficiency; font size for readability significantly allows class-9 students to read comfortably. |
