A gateway for ion transport on gas bubbles pinned onto solids

Electrocatalytic reactions depend on ion transport phenomena within the electric double layer, but the electrochemical response of single gas bubbles that form on catalyst surfaces remains unclear. Here, the authors use alternating current electrochemical impedance spectroscopy to detect a gateway t...

Sumario:Electrocatalytic reactions depend on ion transport phenomena within the electric double layer, but the electrochemical response of single gas bubbles that form on catalyst surfaces remains unclear. Here, the authors use alternating current electrochemical impedance spectroscopy to detect a gateway through which ions can exchange between gas bubble surfaces and solid-state catalyst surfaces.
