Age-related injury responses of human oligodendrocytes to metabolic insults: link to BCL-2 and autophagy pathways
Milton Fernandes et al. combine single cell RNA-sequencing and functional assays to show that human oligodendrocytes exhibit an age-dependent resistance to apoptosis. Their findings have important implications for the pathology and treatment of myelination disorders like multiple sclerosis.
