Sumario:This research set up as a case study qualitative that aims to identify the contributions that the PDCA cycle can bring in the implementation phase of strategic planning in Education Institution under study. Were applied 17 questionnaires in the strategic area of the institution and rose the possible contributions from the application of PDCA cycle at this stage. The study revealed that 64,7 % of managers have short training in management and no manager has a degree in the area, with 94,1% of managers acquire knowledge management with the practical day-to-day.It is observed that 94,1% of managers responded that it is "very important" the existence of a tool to support the implementation of the strategy. Regarding the application of the PDCA cycle as a tool to support the implementation phase of the PE, it was observed that there contributions on procedures to facilitate the implementation of the strategy, encouraging continuous improvement, supporting information systems, monitoring the implementation of strategy, the need for deployment of strategies and actions between the levels of the Institution. Can not be shown that the method contributes directly to the issues related to structure, communication, leadership and culture in the organization.
