Sumario: | A kind of printed dipole array antenna fed by slot electromagnetic coupling is researched. The printed symmetrical dipoles are used to be the radiators which are fed by printed planar Balun. Meanwhile, the printed planar Balun is stimulated by the slot electromagnetic coupling, and the feeding power divider network is placed under the metal ground in order to diminish the electromagnetic coupling interferences. The electromagnetic coupling structure and parameters are designed and a linear printed dipole array antenna with four elements is simulated and optimized to meet the anticipated impedance. The simulation results show that the voltage standing wave ratio(VSWR) is less than 2 within the frequency range of 18.7~19.2 GHz and the gain is about 8.9 dBi at the center frequency. The beam widths at E-plane and H-plane are about 21°and 43° respectively. The designed antenna is fabricated and measured, and the measurement results verify the effectiveness of the designed antenna scheme. The proposed antenna has the characteristics of simple structure, high efficiency and good electromagnetic compatibility, which is suitable for aircraft carrier platform application. |
