Sumario:The aim of this study is to eliminate deficiency of orderly history in literateur related to supervision subsystem in the field of inspection of education and point out faults encountered during this process, repeated applications and problems in the vicious cycle system by presenting development and progression of supervision in terms of historical developments based on classification principle. In this study, historical development process of supervision in Turkish Education System is classified into two period as Ottoman and Republic period based on historical classification principle. Meta-analysis technique is used in this study. The history of İnspection of education is compiled from available resources and it is expressed orderly and chronologically from beginning to end. Application of supervision in elementary, secondary and higher education is presended in a comperative way. Yearly made changes, modifications in laws and regulations related to supervision, faults and as a result abandoned applications and scientific studies are presented. In this way, the fact that former laws and regulations were repeated many times or desired things could not be achieved as intended and these could not be practiced in the field are emphasized as well as what kind of changes happen in the history of inspection are understood. With this study, it can be concluded that supervision in Turkish Educational System is in vicious circle and apart from theorical background, faults seen at the stage of practice create a real problem. However, some suggestions are given to solve these detected problems at the result and suggestion parts of the article.
