| Résumé: | This paper intends to reflect on how 4 women, of close age, experience love and exercise their sexuality, but also how social protection policies contemplate their demands, from a class, gender and generation perspective. It is seen that the formation of the pair in old age is subject to the gender boundaries that restrict their choices and force them to be selective in the choice of partners, if they do not want to be alone. With regard to social protection policies, it can be seen that both women and older transvestites remain on the sidelines, exposed to situations of risk and vulnerability, relegated to abandonment and exclusion. |
