An old disease with a new twist: CNS and thyroid sarcoidosis presenting as subacute dementia

Abstract Dementia in the elderly is extremely common and is often irreversible. When a patient presents with rapid cognitive decline, uncommon reversible etiologies should be investigated with the goal of restoring cognitive function.
