Sumario:From the analysis of disputes initiated bytraditional communities in Juruti Velho(Juruti-Pará), in order to recognize their territory, it is possible to say that there is a series of imposed consensus and open or latent (implicit) conflicts involving the enforcement of the rights that are being recognized to the peoples and traditional communities. It highlights that the definition of the traditional territory appears, at first sight, consensual but its implementation is full of conflicts (involving civil society, mining company and the State authorities). Finally, it aims to discuss how Law deals with a "Social pacification "that is far from dispensing with dispute and conflict.
